Regret spoke in awe, "My god.." He moved towards the edge, glancing down at all below. The city.. just how big was it really? Green eyes tore back towards Xian, small hands dissapearing under his sleaves out of habit. "Who.. lives down there?"
Xian` walks behind Regret and wraps his arms around the boys waist, leaning over his shoulder to look out the huge window, "Your nightmares....down there, is where they live, they hunt, they thrive and breed. From there they go into the world to haunt the mares of man. Down there is the Shadow, the shadow where Man has feared to tread since time immemorial."
The Forbidden City as described on its website (listed below) is on an island off the coast of Australia. Hidden by powerful magics which warp time and space near the place and shroud the island in a perpetual fog, it is entirely populated by the so-called 'monsters' of the world. In fact, the only mortal humans to be found there are those with a special understanding and acceptance of the breeds of the night or those which are 'brought' there for other purposes.

The Palace Imperial, Emperor Xian the Firsts, palace and central court is even more forbidden than the city. As mentioned, it stretches almost a mile high and from it's summit, Xian's personal quarters, the entire city can be seen. It is decorated in a curious blend of modern and ancient elements, gold and marble, shining steel and gleaming plastics. The Throne Chamber or Grand Hall is depicted below. Also shown is a map of the grounds, shown in exacting detail and a modernized exact copy of the original Forbidden city in China.
